To safeguard American democracy, it is important to both protect elections in 2026 and address systemic issues to protect the future of our democracy. Abraham Lincoln said, “It is for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us… that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
With the 2024 election behind us, the country must deal with an onslaught of new challenges. HOW WE SWUNG A CRUCIAL ELECTORAL VOTE
In the months leading up to the 2020 presidential election, the team behind GEN-DEMOCRACY (for DPI PAC) invented the tactic of producing a new, dramatic and cinematic ad every day, then streaming it to persuadable voters in Nebraska’s 2nd District wherever they went on the web. The unprecedented combination of quality and quantiy led to unheard of viewer completion rates and sent Biden soaring in the polls, ultimtely winning NE2 by a larger percentage than any other state that flipped in 2020. Our one-of-a-kind campaign earned the 2021 Pollie Award for Best New and Unusual Tactic. We created a ROAD MAP TO VICTORY. And with your help we’ll do it again in 2026.

TARGET & FOCUS
We will Make ads that prove to young voters that their vote counts. We will focus on the analysis of our friend John Della Volpe, Director of Polling at Havard’s Kennedy School of Governement and the foremost authority on Gen-Z voters, who asked young voters what they believe are the biggest challenges facing America. Their answers included gun violence, school shootings, unchecked rise of hate groups and hate speech, racism, surging levels of disrespect and incivility, inequality, sexual assault, drugs, and the potential of crippling debt from student loans. And according to the polling, they were looking to engage and fight on these issues.
In 2018, yhere was a once-in-a-generation attitudinal shift in the efficacy of fighting these issues using the political process. Gen-Z showed up in that election in big ways. Voters 30 and under doubled their participation relative to previous midterms. They increased their share of the electorate by 1/3rd. As Della Volpe noted, “We’re witnessing them facing their fears and claiming their stake in America.” In that election, Gen-Z voters were the catalyst to turning a good outcome into a great outcome.
In 2020 modern youth turnout records were broken. Biden had a larger share of youth vote than any other election in this century outside of Obama’s record-breaking 2008. But the analyisis also found among these voters virtually no sense of American Exceptionalism. They struggle to think of a moment when they were most proud of their country— while they have no trouble thinking of when they’ve been ashamed of their country. Their lack of enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton in 2016 helped elect Trump. And yet in 2018 the issues of Climate Change and the George Floyd incident made their involvement in politics come alive.
This generation will change America more than America will change them. They are an uncommonly empathetic generation. And so they fight for others who aren’t doing well. Gen-Z understands that people are struggling and they feel obliged to challenge what older generations have grown to accept.
They have endured more adversity than any young generation in 70 years. To then America resembles a distopia but they won’t sit back and take it. They love a debate. And change is in the air. Gen-Z is the key to how America will be ten, twenty and thirty years from now. But this is how they see America at the present time: united by fear. These are the words and phrases they use to paint a picture of America : Terrifying / fake / declining / broken / close-minded / divided / aggressive / distopic / off the rails. Studies show that half of Gen-Z report suffering from mental health issues. Our campaigns will spotlight how their problems will only be made drastically worse if Americans of all beliefs don’t learn to come together, shore up our democractic institutions and protect our constitutional freedoms.
